PREPARATIONS

FOR

INITIAL

START-UP

INSPECTION

Before

starting

your engine

for

the

first

time

after a pro-

longed

layoff - check

the

following

items.

Check

the

engine

oil

level;

add

oil

maintain

the

level

the

high

mark

the dipstick.

Check

the

electrical system. Inspect

wire

connections

and

battery

cable connections.

Visually

examine

the

unit. Look

for

loose or

missing

parts,

disconnected wires, unattached

hoses,

and

check

threaded

connections.

Check

the

fuel

supply

and

examine

the

fuel

filter/separator

Check

the

coolant

level

the

plastic recovery

tank

and

the

manifold.

bowls

for

contaminants.

Check

the

transntission

fluid

level.

and
